Dan Gannon, President and CEO
Dan Gannon brings more than 25 years of executive management experience to his role as Newmerix's CEO, including responsibility for sales, service, engineering, support, operations, and business development. Mr. Gannon leads Newmerix's high-growth go-to-market strategy that includes the expansion of its Automate! Suite of enterprise application lifecycle management (EALM) solutions across multiple ISVs, capitalizing on adoption of the solutions for compliance needs, and growing partnerships and sales internationally.
He comes to Newmerix from Determina, where he served as senior vice president of worldwide sales. Prior to that he served as the senior sales executive for Vericept Corporation, and Intelliden, with responsibilities spanning global sales, business development, professional services and customer support.
Gannon's earlier experience includes Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations at DMW Worldwide, where he was responsible for global sales, business development and client services for this Internet infrastructure and application software company; Vice President of Global Business Development for the Baan Company, with responsibility for developing strategic relationships and channel distribution. Prior to Baan, he was Director of Major Accounts at Optika, Inc. Before joining Optika, he served as Senior Vice President at Anacomp, Inc.
Mr. Gannon attended the University of Michigan.
Charley Powell, Vice President of Sales
Charley is a 25-year veteran of technology sales and sales management. He started his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse, then moved to StorageTek to lead a sales force focused on the financial services industry. He shifted his career focus to assisting early stage technology companies, and in 1987 joined JD Edwards to build their international business unit. Over the next 5 years he grew JD Edwards international to more than $50M in revenue using a combination of distribution channels. In 1996, Charley sold his company Antalys - advanced product configuration software for CRM - to The Baan Company, a leading ERP software provider. He continued with Baan as VP of Sales for the CRM Division, and during his tenure, grew worldwide CRM revenue to more than $150M.
Prior to joining Newmerix, Charley was a partner in The Charles Group, a specialized consulting company providing sales and sales management positions to early stage companies. With The Charles Group, he assisted many companies including Vericept, Shiplogix, and Determina. Charley is a graduate of the University of Colorado with degrees in both accounting and finance.
Michael Lawless, Vice President of Engineering
Michael Lawless has 21 years of professional experience in the technology and software development arena and more than 12 years managing software engineering teams. His responsibilities at Newmerix include management oversight of software development, software quality assurance and information technology.
Prior to joining Newmerix, Mr. Lawless held similar roles with several early-stage software companies. At Hart InterCivic, maker of electronic voting systems and large-scale, web-based voter registration and election management applications, Mr. Lawless oversaw 400% growth in the engineering department and the development, delivery and commercial deployment of 12 distinct software applications. His organization consistently met the extremely high quality standards applied to the voting systems industry by the federal government. He had similar success at NETdelivery, a startup that developed and deployed a secure electronic content delivery application that is now used by postal organizations in Canada and Sweden.
Mr. Lawless has experience in a variety of industries including defense and aerospace, telecommunications, healthcare, public safety, and financial analysis systems. In all of his experience he has specialized in organizational development of engineering teams and optimizing software engineering processes. He has managed the development of dozens of commercial applications that are in use by millions of people internationally.
Mr. Lawless holds a B.S. from the Unites States Air Force Academy and a M.A. from the University of Dayton, where his focus was on human-computer interaction.
Michael Parker, Vice President of Professional Services
With more than eighteen years experience implementing enterprise applications, Mr. Parker is responsible for R&D, technical support, professional services and training services at Newmerix.
Prior to joining Newmerix, Mr. Parker held several management and sales positions in the PeopleSoft Global Services (PGS) organization. While at PeopleSoft, Mr. Parker was part of the team that established and deployed a business development group within PGS, helping it attain more than $1 billion in annual revenue.
Prior to his tenure at PeopleSoft, Mr. Parker held management positions in the outsourcing and staffing industries with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 1000 businesses.
Mr. Parker holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Georgia.
